Social  Media in the Workplace, a Holistic Approach

When we say “social media”, what do we mean?  This presentation focuses the practical development and application of employer policies related to the internet and other electronic communication.  “Social Media” polices rarely stand alone, but are an important part of your company’s marketing and employee welfare goals. Social media is not just a disciplinary issue.  This seminar is designed to provide a philosophical framework to assess all the needs of your business in formulating policies and procedures regulating this important area of Human relations.

Mr. William A . Earnhart, has practiced employment and labor law for eighteen years with an emphasis on litigation defense.  He is member of the Alaska, Oregon and Washington Bar Associations and has appeared before the Ninth Circuit court of appeals and the Alaska Supreme Court. He has drafted social networking policies and advised on and defended a number of disputes over employer policies and discipline involving electronic media over the last several years.   He is regular speaker at seminars regarding employment and labor issues.  He is a graduate of Willamette University and the University of  Washington School of Law.

Will has lived in Alaska since 1974 and is currently raising his family in Eagle River.  He enjoys hiking, camping and skiing and is actively involved in youth sports.
