Employers have an obligation to provide a workplace free from illegal discrimination or harassment based on religion.  In addition, employers may also be asked to decide on an individual’s request for religious accommodation.  These religious accommodations may involve a request for flexible scheduling, job reassignments or modifications to workplace policies or practices such as with dress or grooming practices. As a human resources professional, you can better support your employer’s and the employee’s needs by being aware of issues concerning religious discrimination, harassment and accommodation.

Speakers:  Sean Halloran and Doug Parker, Littler Mendelson
