Presenter – Brad Gillespie, Regional Manager, DOL
Has worked for the Alaska DOLWD job centers for 18 years with the last 8+ years as Regional Manager for the five job centers in Anchorage and Mat-Su. Have strived hard to make the job centers “Demand Driven” in order to better meet the needs of our business customers. Local job centers and staff under my supervision were successfully nominated for numerous State and national awards. Prior to joining the DOLWD I worked for 10 years with Sears including store manager in Wasilla for 2 years and Assistant Store Manager in Fairbanks for 1 year. I am passionate about workforce development not only due to my work experience but as a father of five, I am concerned about the future of Alaska and opportunities that will be available for my children.
