    Using the Concepts from Good to Great in Your Organization and in Your Career

    The landmark book by Jim Collins, Good to Great, is becoming a workplace must.  Based on extensive research, its findings have been applied to organizations of all types.  In this seminar you will be introduced to these findings and learn how to apply them to your organization and to your personal and professional growth.

    In this webinar participants will:

    Beverly Dennis, MBA, CHAE, CHTP

    Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Management

    Beverly Dennis, MBA, CHAE, CHTP has over 30 years experience working in business and financial management, specializing in the hospitality industry.  She began her association with the hotel industry on the front lines and soon moved to the back office where she became a controller.  She has worked with several international hotel corporations as well as with independent chains. 

    After she received her graduate degree, she began teaching at APU as an adjunct professor.  She continued in that capacity for nine years, often carrying more credit hours than full-time faculty.  In 2007, she became a full time faculty member in the Business Administration and Management department.  

    In addition to her academic activities, she is in demand as a public speaker and facilitator of organizational team building activities.  Among the many topics she has facilitated in her workshops are: Relationship Awareness, Business Communication, Conflict Management and Effective Leadership.  She has presented her original work at several international conferences. 

    Ms. Dennis enjoys many community service activities.  For over 15 years, she has been a classroom consultant for Junior Achievement.  She has conducted several relationship management classes for Leadership Anchorage and other leader development organizations.  She has served on the board of the American Society of Training and Development and was the Hartig Fellow with Commonwealth North.   She is a current member of the following organizations: Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, Institute of Management Accountants and American Society of Training and Development.  She was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society in 2008.
