    Webinar Summary:

The combination of a tight jobs market and the aging of the U.S. workforce means that organizations need to think creatively when trying to source great talent.  Building an age-diverse workforce is a key strategy in this effort, yielding a stronger pipeline of talent, protecting business continuity, and tapping into new resources to address talent shortages.

Join SHRM and AARP experts to learn how HR professionals in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska can adopt best practices for attracting, hiring and retaining workers age 50+ to develop an age-diverse workforce.  The SHRM and AARP presenters will provide examples of organizational best practices and support resources available through the SHRM-SHRM Foundation Aging Workforce Initiative, AARP’s Employer Pledge Program, and SHRM and AARP research studies and other tools and programs.

Recertification Credit this entire presentation, either as a live event or archived, counts for one SHRM Professional Development Credit (PDC) for recertifying the SHRM-CPSM and SHRM-SCPSM credentials.  This presentation has also been pre-approved for one credit hour toward PHR/SPHR/GPHR General recertification from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
