It is with sincere regret that the Alaska SHRM State Council will be cancelling our March professional development webinar due to unforeseen circumstances. We look forward to rescheduling this exciting session on disability benefits with our incredible presenter for a later month in 2020.

The Alaska SHRM State Council is honored to continue providing top quality professional development content from leading experts in the field. We will be continuing our professional development webinars with our next session on April 24, 2020. More details will be coming soon, so keep an eye on your email!

We look forward to once again bringing together the HR community throughout Alaska (virtually!) for our April webinar. Until then, we thank you for your support and engagement with the Alaska SHRM State Council.

Is your group disability plan just okay or is it a great plan?  In this webinar, you will learn how to know the difference. You will learn ways you can use these benefits to stand out in a crowded field of employers trying to attract talent as well as make sure you have all the bases covered.

    This webinar will review:

         -  What are offsets and how do they affect benefits?

         -  How is income calculated?

         -  Exclusions

         -  Residual disability

    •   How does group disability work with PTO, Workers Comp and FMLA?

    •   How do you make sure you are providing adequate protection for your high wage earners (aka the C Suite team)?

    •   What is Corporate Owned Life and when would you want it?

    •   Retirement Plan Protection

    •   What are the latest trends in the life & disability industry?
