Reasonable Accommodation: Current Issues and Hot Topics
Join long time Job Accommodation Network (JAN) consultant Linda Carter Batiste for a discussion about reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the current issues and hot topics employers are grappling with such as telework, service animals, leave, return to work during the pandemic, and medical documentation.

Speaker Bio:
Linda Carter Batiste is a Principal Consultant/Legislative Specialist with the Job Accommodation Network (JAN), the leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability-related employment issues. She has been with JAN since 1992.
Linda has in-depth training on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related laws and specializes in providing practical guidance and solutions for ADA compliance. Her areas of interest include service animals as workplace accommodations, addictions, and alternative dispute resolution such as mediation.
Linda has a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University's College of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. In addition, she has a Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling/vocational evaluation and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia Bar, and the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC).
