    The Zone - Dialogue Facilitation

Designing an internal framework to facilitate healthy dialogues that result in more trusting cultures has never been more important than now. Dialogue is messy, and at times not comfortable, but it's where growth and diversity can come together to create inclusion. This dialogue will focus on creating Safe Spaces for LGBTQIA+ within institutions.

Participants will gain the following learning objectives:

    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of terms used to describe sexual orientation and gender identity.
    • Describe how LGBTQIA+ experiences need communities and institutions to actively create safer spaces.
    • Apply skills to create a safe learning environment for members of the LGBT community.

    Speaker: Clinton Shane
Throughout the unplanned and uncomfortable challenges in life that define our character, Clinton Shane has no doubt earned the respect and honor of his ultimate Job Title: Life Wrangler. A three-time deployed soldier, international fashion model, and tenured HR practitioner, Clinton firmly believes and understands that adversity can be an educational source of resilience, inspiration and growth mindset in human development.

His calm curiosity for culture and people led him to facilitate his first national diversity dialogue in 2009 to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Since then, Clinton has facilitated over two-hundred critical dialogues, safely guiding leaders and organizations through the complex navigation of human inclusion, performance and leadership development. Clinton has designed reintegration programs to safely transition over one thousand deployed soldiers back home to their families, jobs and communities. Acquiring a top-secret security clearance, and working as a Public Affairs Journalist and Personnel Supervisor with the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves, Clinton became a member of the Sexual Assault Prevention Response Office investigating and mitigating hundreds of claims while simultaneously building and facilitating prevention programs.

Clinton has coached and educated hundreds of human resources practitioners, hiring managers, recruiters and talent acquisition teams, on how to forecast talent goals by relying on the ebbs and flows of trends in the labor market. His insightful approach to talent and people education has allowed organizations to save an average of 2.1 million in annual hiring costs. Clinton has been the designer and builder of more than twenty-three human resources offices, and fifty-two talent acquisition programs.
